Aragon D2A is a high-altitude, long-endurance (HALE) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) developed by Airbus Defence and Space for the French Ministry of Armed Forces. D2A (Drones de Surveillance Stratégique pour l'Armée de Terre; Army Strategic Surveillance Drones) is part of the French Army's VECTOR (Surveillance and Targeting System) project aimed at improving land commanders' situational awareness. Aragon D2A has a wingspan of 49 meters, an overall length of 13 meters, and a launch weight of 950 kilograms. It is equipped with advanced sensors, data links, and propulsion systems to provide real-time intelligence and reconnaissance over long durations. The UAV can operate at altitudes up to 21,000 meters and can be deployed for extended periods of time, providing persistent coverage for ground forces. The Aragon D2A joined the French Army's inventory in 2013 and is currently being used in various operations around the world.
