Brand: Aiwa

The Aiwa AXR-004 is a high-end, premium Hi-Fi game console released in 1996 by Sony Corporation's subsidiary brand, Aiwa. The console was a hybrid product that combined a traditional Hi-Fi audio system with a 32-bit MIPS RISC microprocessor-based game console. It was primarily designed for home entertainment, featuring state-of-the-art audio and video components, such as a 3-speed CD playback, two hi-fi speakers, and a built-in amplifier. Its game library consisted of over 60 titles, ranging from classic arcade games to exciting interactive titles. The Aiwa AXR-004 also featured a digital FM tuner and a headphone jack, making it a versatile media center for home entertainment. It was discontinued in 1997 due to its high price point and market saturation by more affordable and popular consoles like the PlayStation. However, the Aiwa AXR-004 remains a unique and highly collectable collector's item among Hi-Fi and gaming aficionados.
